City of SeaTac, Wash. (June 23, 2009) -- Khong Guan Corporation (KGC) has signed a lease to relocate to the ProLogis Park SeaTac located at South 208th Street at International Blvd. in the City of SeaTac, Wash. effective August 15, 2009. The company is moving from its current location in Kent, Wash.
“The opportunity to move into a brand new facility that we could completely customize for our needs was the single most important factor in making the move,” said Albert Lin of Khong Guan Corporation. “And the convenience that the City of SeaTac offers our team, especially being five minutes from the airport, is great.”
KGC will initially have five employees at the new location but already has plans to double the staff. They will use the 17,000 square foot space to store their 1,500+ different food products as they are marketed and distributed around the Northwest with a region that includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.
KGC is the importer and sole marketing agent for many of Asia's finest food brands. With multiple warehouses and a comprehensive network of broker and distribution partners they successfully market products across North America. KGC was founded in 1982 by the owners of Khong Guan Biscuits of Singapore - a leading Asian biscuit manufacturer in operation since 1947.
“We are pleased to welcome Khong Guan Corporation to the City of SeaTac as they will add strength to our business community and vitality to our cultural diversity,” said Jeff Robinson, Economic Development Manager for the City of SeaTac. “ProLogis continues to attract great businesses to our city and we could not be happier about their most recent business partner.”
